Our next group meeting will be on Tuesday 7th October 2025, 6.15pm at Lawrence Batley Theatre Queen Street meeting room.

Partners' Prostate Cancer Support Group

A urology specialist nurse also attends our meetings when possible.

We have regular social events that include meeting up for walks, lunches and informal get-togethers. We also join the men’s group for daytime walks and evening Pilates classes.

What our members say:-

“It’s been invaluable getting precise information from our designated Urology nurse.”

“I didn’t think I needed to be part of a group - but I did.”

“I feel I can talk about the impact of my partner’s cancer, and all its implications, in a safe space with people who are on a similar journey, and who I now see as good friends.”

"When I joined the partners' group it was 7 years on from my husband’s diagnosis, we’d ’moved on’ and I didn’t think I needed a support group. Shortly afterwards his medical situation unfortunately changed and he has undergone further treatment. With it has come stress , anxiety and uncertainty. The support group has been really beneficial for me. Although all our stories are different we have alot in common and can share experiences and offer each other support. Additionally it has been really useful having access to advice from the Specialist Urology Nurse."
